During a recent Birdtour Asia trip to Sulawesi and Halmahera, guided by Frank Lambert, we observed a Moluccan Goshawk (Accipiter henicogrammus) in a private reserve near Weda Bay, Halmahera Island (North Maluku, Indonesia), on 13 October 2014. The bird was seen several times at and around its nest, which contained at least two chicks. The nest was high in the canopy on a horizontal branch of a large tree. It was a typical accipiter stick nest, similar to, but larger than a nest, of Eurasian Sparrowhawk (A. nisus).
