An active nest of White-browed Hawk (Leucopternis kuhli) was located beside a perennial stream within terra firme forest along the river Cristalino (a tributary of the Teles Pires; in the Tapajós–Xingú interfluvium) in October 2013. The nest was sited in a secondary fork 12–15 m above ground in the subcanopy of a non-emergent tree alongside the stream. Much like the nest described by Kirwan (2009), the nest was a messy structure constructed of sticks and some branches with dead or dying leaves. An adult was observed arriving to roost on the nest at 17:30 h on 9 Oct 2013, approximately 30 minutes before sunset.
