TYPE LOCALITY:
'native country . . . not certainly known'; southeastern Brazil accepted as type locality by Hellmayr, 1929, Field Mus. Nat. Hist., Zool. Ser., 13, pt. 6, p. 228; here further restricted to Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro (J. T. Z.).
