Measures of Breeding Activity
Of eight nests monitored at 1,700 m elevation at a mixed pine-cloud forest site in Sierra de Bahoruco, Dominican Republic, during 2003 (n = 6) and 2004 (n = 2), fledging success was low, with only three nests (37.5%) fledging at least one young. Four of five failed nets failed due to predation (30).
